My floating blanket

Ever thought why u like making rangolis
Is it coz it gives u the freedom to muse over the endless sea of thoughts w/o anyone prompting "kya sochne lag gayi?" (as if I wudn't think it loud if i had to tell you :) Such fools ppl r sometimes, to be asking such an obvious question.
Anyways, if u r busy making a rangoli, or rather pondering over under cover ;), no one wud ever disturb u wid those silly questions, dey wud jst settle for "she is thinking of the design n colours to fill in" or may be a comment like "its really luking nice". Of course it wud luk nice, anything made out of so many pretty colours will luk nice even w/o any thought given to it. I made this one without any thought, even w/o any outline(tht explains for it not being symmetric :D). Thanks to the dumbness of ppl u finally get to be free to jst float into d ocean by ur own. I wish Alice had known this, her adventures would have been longer!!

Fast friends ( bole toh speedwise)

She( hesitatingly): Hi(pause) aa(pause)actually, I needed some help. One of my friend is visiting me for a day and my PG is undergoing renovation. I'm really tensed about where should I put her as I was the one who invited her, never knew this renovation would come up this time only.I heard a room at your place is vacant.
Me(thinking I should say something and relieve this poor soul from the awkwardness, after all she seems to be nice): hey, thats nothing to ask for. just come over
Before this conversation, we had a passing-by-hi-hello kinda acquaintance, or may be we talked once or twice in the lobby.
Next morning I left the keys to my place at my landlords as I would be in office by the time they would come over(a pathetic host as I am). She dropped her friend at my place and came over to office herself as she was to go on a leave for a week next day onwards. By the time I was done with my work I realised, I had a guest waiting who I wouldn't even recognise. How can I go home, it would be awkward. May be she wouldn't even open the doors to me. So I decided to wait for my colleague
By the time we reached home(20 mins in rickshaw) we were talking quite a lot and then the three of us went to dine outside. By the time we came back we were chit-chatting and laughing just too much. Gawd!! I had so much fun with them. And by the time we went to sleep we were good friends :)
This can happen only with saggis !!
To this some of my friends might say "this can happen only to an idiot like u, kisi ko bhi ghar mein invite kar leti hai"
Anyways, thanks to the renovation process :O

Lack of hope, does brings hope sometimes....

He remembered the story of the Eastern king who, desiring to know the history of man, was brought by a sage five hundred volumes; busy with affairs of state, he bade him go and condense it; in twenty yrs the sage returned and his history now was in no more than 50 volumes, but the king, too old then to read so many ponderous tomes, bade him go and shorten it once more; twenty yrs passed again and the sage, old and grey, bought a single book in which was the knowledge the king had sought; but the king lay on his death bed, and he had no time to read even that; and then the sage gave him the history of man in a single line; it was "he was born, he suffered and he died".
There was no meaning in life and man by living served no end. Life was insignificant and death without consequences. He exulted: it seemed to him that the last burden of responsibility was taken from him; and for the first time he was utterly free. His insignificance was turned to power, and he felt himself suddenly equal with the cruel fate which had seemed to persecute him; for if life was meaningless, the world was robbed of its cruelty. He was the most inconsiderable creature in that swarming mass of mankind which for a brief space occupied the surface of earth; and he was almighty because he had wrenched from chaos the secret of its nothingness. Thoughts came tumbling over one another in his eager fancy, and he took long breaths of joyous satisfaction. He had not been so happy for months.

If anything and everything done is inevitable then whr comes the so called illusion of free will?? if everything happens coz the damn forces of universe conspired to cause it, then why d hell do we even have a will ???
how can we then attach any meaning to the words 'good' or 'bad'...
how can we make a hierarchy of human actions and ascribe worthiness to some and ill repute to others??

Is art the most important thing in the world or is it a luxury??
Is it only when the basic instincts are satisfied that ppl consent to occupy themselves with the entertainment provided by writers , painters & poets?? is it merely a refuge which the ingenious have invented to escape the tediousness of life !!!
who cares :)
